Encarnación is a small series of archetypes personified in textile inspired by Mexican folklore and indigenous spirituality. Born during the artist’s residence in Guadalajara, México in 2019, the vibrancy of life in the country energized the use of vivid color in the addition of paint and 24K gold leaf to these works.
The mythology and opulence of storytelling in Latin America brings fourth these powerful female characters to explain and accredit the richness of existence and the origins of life.
